For the Chatter Session News…we are saving paper as there is not much news from the May meeting to report. It seems as there was more unofficial business as there was for the agenda items. However the meeting lasted about an hour, which is not bad.
Treasurer, Donna Davis, again gave a detailed financial report as of April 30th. The report was received. Thank you Donna for a detailed report.
Session received a request from someone interested in the purchase of the church’s vacant lot west of fellowship hall. Session’s feelings are the lot is paid for and it is our only space for growth in the future. Session did not respond to the request.
Future dates to remember; the next regular Session meeting is June 10th at 5:30 pm. The July meeting is the 8th at 5:30 pm. There will NOT be a Session meeting in August, however Session is planning to meet with the Deacons at their meeting August 22nd at 6:00 pm to discuss the work of the church. Usually no action is taken at the meeting. This is required by denomination to have a joint meeting once a year. So we meet the request of “The Big Boys”.
