POINTS TO PONDER

I was thumbing through some old sermon ideas and found these sayings. Here are words to think about:

Once a week, let a child take you on a walk.
Make all your major decisions in a cemetery.
We you think that no one is watching, someone is.
Succeed at home first.
Don’t spend tomorrow’s money today.

Pray twice as much as you fret.
Listen twice as much as you speak.
Only harbor a grudge when God does.
Never outgrow your love of sunsets.
Treat people like angels; you will meet some and help make some.
‘Tis wiser to err on the side of generosity than on the side of scrutiny.
When you can’t trace God’s hand, trust God’s heart.
Toot your own horn and the notes will be flat.
Don’t feel guilty for God’s goodness.
The book of life is lived in chapters, so know your page number.
Never let the important be the victim of the trivial.
When people are doubting how far you can go, go so far that you can’t hear them anymore.
Some people say, “I can.” Some people say “I can’t.” Both are right–Henry Ford.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY:

Gracious God: Open my eyes to see the truth. Open my ears to hear Your word. Open my heart to gain understanding in all things.

Help me to be a blessing to others with the knowledge You’re going to provide me with, so that I can assist in recruiting others for the cause of Christ.

I pray that You will infuse me with wisdom and understanding on this day and forever more. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen!
