Helping At Risk Teens Pantry

With the closing of another school year, HART PANTRY finds itself in a very good position. It has been a year of adding more schools in the Dysart School District and developing a close working relationship with Dysart Community Center in El Mirage. We have added the Ombudsman Charter School in Peoria and are serving approximately 20 more students per week there.

With more targeted fundraising we have been able to provide more additional services to our At-Risk teens. The PANTRY now provides feminine hygiene prod- ucts to any and all schools requesting the need.
We will provide 36 students from our program with a graduation gift of a $ 50.00 Walmart gift card. That gift is being matched by one of our donor churches, Church of the Palms in Sun City, so each graduate will receive $ 100.00 to begin their journey past high school.

A big thank you goes out to June Schooley for her designs for a special graduation card. HART PANTRY is very aware that without the support of our local church, corporate and civic communities we could not continue our mission. This mission is growing every year and sad though that may be we are so Blessed to be able to keep up with the growing needs.

HART PANTRY will continue to provide weekend food bags to any of our schools requesting our service during the summer recess. We will provide food bags to the Peoria Community Center for those students who wish to pick up. Our volunteer purchasing agent, Brenda Hedt and Volunteer coordinator, Carol Spiegelhoff will keep us supplied and make deliveries possible.

On that note HART PANTRY is actively seeking more volunteers willing to pack on Thursday mornings and or deliver to our schools. If you have any interest in joining our
team please contact Carol.

Thanks to all who support HART PANTRY as we support our HOMELESS and AT-RISK teens.
